Bosaso

Bosaso is the third most populous city in Somalia, it is the most populous city in the state of Puntland, and the district seat of Bosaso in Bari region, in the southern coast of Red Sea. it serves as the nation’s main port.

Formerly known as Bandar Qasim, Bosaso's population is estimated at about 700,000 residents, and it is one of the oldest cities in the Somalia, and it was settled in the area during the 14th century.

The city has a diverse economy based on education, government, banking, aviation, food, clothes, logistics, steel, energy, health care, hospitality, retail, and technology, the area's many colleges and universities make Bosaso a regional center of higher education, including law, medicine, engineering, and business, and the city is considered to be country's leader entrepreneurship.

Behind the grey mountains on outskirts of Bosaso, there is Biyo kulule, Laag valley with its water streams, and Baalade valley at north of the coast of Bosaso, a valley that pours its water to the Red Sea behind the Bender Qassim Airport.
